Already curious about the Fall Winter 2014-15 menswear trends? Well, after attending several shows in Milan during men’s Fashion Week and following London Collections and Paris Fashion Week on NowFashion.com and Style.com, I give you the 5 biggest trends:

Camel!

Bye, bye, burgundy! Camel is the new it-color! From jackets with extravagant details, skinny tailoring… to pea coats, one of the most chic and elegant colors is back in fashion.

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2014-15

Salvatore Ferragamo Fall Winter 2014-15

Skinny feelings

I’ve never been a fan of the oversized trend, so I’m most happy designers are turning the tide. Though blazers and skinny trousers always steal the show when it comes to tailoring. The Fall Winter 2014-15 catwalks confirm that the skinny trend is here to stay.

Prada Fall Winter 2014-15

Saint Laurent Fall Winter 2014-15

Knitted

Mix and match, embroidered, multi-colored, patterned, oversized, cable knits… anything goes in terms of knitwear next Fall Winter season.

Fendi Fall Winter 2014-15

Kris Van Assche Fall Winter 2014-15

Furs

Fur, fur, FUR!!! No more to say.

Burberry Prorsum Fall Winter 2014-15

Costume National Fall Winter 2014-15

Check mate

The never-ending love affair between checks and fashion. Tweed, tartan, Prince of Wales… continue to feature in everything from tailoring to outerwear and of course the odd kilt.

You can call it a micro trend, but some Fall Winter 2013-14 catwalks were full of religious symbolism. From Madonnas and Saints printed on t-shirts and altarpiece sweaters at Dolce & Gabbana to Calvinistic soberness at Valentino. Jean Paul Gaultier started the trend with his Virgin Collection in 2007, but now a lot of designers are inspired by religion. So I started thinking… what is it about fashion and religion? Is it simply for esthetic reasons or does fashion want to say: ‘Hold on!’ during these economic hard times? Fact is that you gotta love those looks, no matter you believe or not… .

Men! Already wondering what the trends will be next Winter season? Well, after attending several shows during London Collections and Milan Fashion Week, and following Paris Fashion Week on NowFashion.com and Style.com, I came to the following conclusion:

50 shades of grey

Grey is the new black! Combine different shades of grey for a refined look, much softer than head-to-toe black.

Neil Barrett Fall Winter 2013-14

Vivienne Westwood Fall Winter 2013-14

Burgundy!

Nothing new here, burgundy was already a big trend this Winter season, but now the color is in full force.

Alexander McQueen Fall Winter 2013-14

Canali Fall Winter 2013-14

Fur fantasy

Fur, fur, FUR… and I’m a big fan!
