What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Paris? The Eiffel Tower? A romantic getaway? Fashion? Overcrowded? Yes, the list is endless when describing the city of lights. And since my 4 day visit back in July, I can add a new word to it: mindfulness.
Mindful Paris: 3 tips
Yes, mindfulness! I bet you never thought about Paris in a mindful way!? Well, I confess, me neither. The French capital can be such a busy and noisy city, that as a high sensitive person it overwhelmes me in a way that I immediately want to take the first train back… . But my last experience was different, a real eyeopener actually. For the very first time I was at peace in the city of lights. And that’s why I would love to share my 3 tips for the ultimate mindful experience in beautiful Paris:
–Waking up early
When on a regular citytrip, you wake up around 8-9 in the morning and have breakfast before 10. And by the time you’re ready to explore the city, you see yourself cueing with millions of other tourists to discover one of the Parisian highlights. Not if you wake up before sunrise, and go for an early morning walk… .
Il est cinq heures, Paris s’éveille! Pure mindfulness if you ask me, having the city almost to yourself (except for some drunk people around Trocadero during the weekends…), feeling all energetic thanks to the beautiful sunrise. And by the time everyone else is leaving his hotel, you can go back to yours, having a croissant or 2, and maybe a little nap.
–Staying at Hôtel des Grands Boulevards

Speaking about hotels, Paris has a lot to offer: from cosy boutique hotels to excuisite luxurious ones. Thanks to my best friend, who has her own travel blog (Charlies Wanderings), I could stay at Hôtel des Grands Boulevards, right in the heart of the French capital. A true gem in Paris, perfect to escape the world for a moment. Grands Boulevards has everything what I like about hotels: not to big and overcrowded, a unique avant-garde interior, and a peaceful atmosphere where you can all be your mindful self.
–Watching the sunset on a rooftop
And with rooftop I mean literally sitting on a sinc roof of a (historic) Parisian building. It was never on my bucket list, but if you ever have the opportunity to do this, I would totally recommend it, especially during golden hour. Thanks to the sunset light Paris is spoiling you with a view that is beyond beautiful! Tip: wait till the Eiffel Tower is sparkling! It’s the perfect end of a wonderful day.

I hope I’ve inspired you by going to Paris on a mindful trip! I can only recommend it. Do you want to know more about this topic? Or do you need some more information about me being a Minfluencer? Don’t hesitate to contact me (for collaborations/other questions).
