Normally, I only do reviews about fashion shows I saw with my own eyes, but I want to make an exception for the latest Les Hommes show, held on the first day of Milan Fashion Week back in June. So sad I couldn’t make it. Les Hommes was one of the highlights that Saturday, but I only arrived a day later.
Every man needs a great classic suit, but Les Hommes creative directors Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch found a way to make it relevant for today’s market. They layered leather t-shirts into suits and leather bomber jackets over shirts and ties. Lilies bloomed over suits, jackets and sweaters, revamping the more sober silhouettes. Words can’t describe how much I love their Spring Summer 2014 collection. An extra reason to say that I’m proud to be a Belgian.
