Z Zegna Fall Winter 2013-14
Z Zegna is always one of the highlights during Milan Fashion Week, a show I never miss. And once again, Paul Surridge didn’t disappoint! For his third collection at Z Zegna he went for a country walk, forest-floor runway included. Luxurious outerwear and comfortable suits in innovative and technical materials, check. For next winter, Surridge plays with volumes and 3D and puts a spotlight on the shoulders, who are deconstructed or bold and sharp. Padding effects give a graphical rendering and many pieces are made of two materials, like the mix of leather and wool. Colors like tobacco, ash grey, cadmium red and navy blue make it rather moody and intense. A today’s collection that looks back to the past and looks forward to the future. Well-done, Paul, see you in June!
